The Silver Solarium is one of six Vista Dome observation sleeping cars built by Budd in 1948 for the famed "California Zephyr”. The Silver Solarium has traveled over 7 million miles since its maiden voyage. This car truly has a nostalgic appeal. From the unmistakable shine of its stainless steel exterior, to the art deco style bar and the penthouse allure of its panoramic Vista Dome, this high capacity car is truly a monument to the 1960’s. This car offers dome seating and dining for 24 people with a maximum day time capacity of 40, and deluxe overnight accommodations for up to 11 people. Combined with a sleeper like the Yosemite Falls this is perfect for a Family Reunion or corporate getaway.
