Just beyond Mr. Beebe's stateroom is the car's elegant dining room. Among the more notable features are the gold-veined diamond wall with sculptured light fixtures; an antique dining room set dating back to the 1890's; an ornate crystal-beaded chandelier, and a hand painted breakfront from Italy used for storage of the car's crystal, flatware, and linens.

Meal service in this room is in keeping with the formal atmosphere: lunches are usually 3 -course affairs at least, and dinners are 4 to 5-courses. The table is set with custom china made especially for the car, consisting of a dinner plate, salad plate, butter pat dish, cup and saucer. If required, matching fruit bowls or the celery dish may also be put out. For really special occasions, ornate gold plated charger plates are set underneath the dinner plates, and brass candlesticks adorn the table top. Of course, in keeping with the car's golden theme, the cars flatware is a very ornate 23k gold plated pattern.

As we move forward, we find ourselves in the Crew Hallway, and the very first door to the right leads into the car's extremely small but efficient Galley.
